What a statement from the Buffalo Bills on opening night. Dominant performance on both sides of the ball, and they’ve solidified their status as the top team.

Tampa was the only team to not allow a touchdown in week 1, and they absolutely dismantled the Cowboys offense. Should be among the Super Bowl favorites yet again.

So much for the “down year” coming for the Chiefs offense, as they hung 44 on the Cardinals defense. Mahomes was virtually flawless, and the Chiefs jump 3 spots to #3 overall

This game ended up being a little closer than necessary at the end, but nevertheless the Chargers took care of business against a division opponent, and they jump the much less impressive Packers and Rams in the rankings.

I still believe in the Packers, but man that was hard to watch. The offense still has a LONG way to go, but I trust Rodgers and LaFleur to figure it out as the season goes on.

The defending champs went out and got embarrassed on opening night. Stafford played his worst game as the Rams QB, and the defense really missed Von Miller, who just happened to be playing on the other side in the same game.

It wasn’t necessarily the prettiest, but the Ravens took care of business against the inferior Jets and they move up a couple spots with the losses of Denver and Cincinnati.

Another team just taking care of business on Sunday. I don’t anyone’s opinion on the Eagles has drastically changed after a somewhat close win against the Lions.

Great all-around performance from Minnesota, a team that I was particularly high on entering the season. The defense looks like it is among the league’s best, and the offense is much more explosive this year.

Tons of missed opportunities for Denver, but overall they didn’t play that bad of a game. Russ looked pretty solid, and the defense stiffened up in the second half. The major concern is Nathaniel Hackett’s inability to manage a game.

Joe Burrow played about as badly as you could possibly imagine, but somehow the Bengals were still in the game late, and were an extra point or a field goal away from winning it.

If there was any doubt that the Dolphins were the 2nd best team in the AFC East, they cleared it up this weekend with a convincing 20-7 win over New England. Tua was solid and the defense picked up where they left off at the end of last season

Carson Wentz; in his first game, became the first Washington QB to throw for 300 yards and 4 TDs since 2015. The offense looked really explosive with the new and improved WR core, although the defense has a few concerns and the game really shouldn’t have been that close.

The Browns roster is actually pretty good, and I think they’ll be just fine and stay afloat before Watson gets back. Brissett didn’t look great, but the defense and run game did enough to support him and win the game.

As someone who was a lot higher on the Cardinals than the consensus, it hurt me to see them get dismantled at home like they did. The defense is a clear problem for them.

The Colts actually moved up a couple spots, not because they played well, but because the teams in front of them didn’t. Tying the Texans is a pretty bad look for Indy, but better than a loss I guess...

Derek Carr was bad. Somehow it was a 1-score game, but the Chargers were in control for most of it. The offense is probably not going to be as good as some were projecting.

In one of the most surprising score lines from Sunday, the Bears upset the 49ers 19-10 in some pretty tough playing conditions. Regardless, there is cause for concern for Lance, who really struggled with accuracy

A nice little 1-point win against the worst team in the league, but my opinion hasn’t changed too much on New Orleans. The defense was a little concerning, and that’s really the unit that we thought would be good.

Matt Patricia calls the offensive plays, and the offense scores 7 points. Is anyone surprised? I actually feel bad for Mac Jones, who really wasn’t given any help. Playoffs seem like a long way away for New England

Pittsburgh knows how to win ugly, I’ll give them that. To score 1 offensive touchdown and beat the defending AFC champs is probably some combination of a great performance and a little bit of luck.

I said they were overrated going into the season, and they did not disappoint. Tennessee loses a 1-point game at home to the Giants, a team that most projected as a bottom-feeder.

Not an ideal debut for Baker, but he did enough at the end to keep them in the game, and if not for a 58-yard field goal by rookie Cade York, Carolina would be 1-0.

I don’t think that night could’ve gone much worse for Dallas, who now see their season derailed quicker than I’ve ever seen. With Prescott now out for about half the year, the Cowboys are the biggest fallers in this week’s rankings.

The offense played well, but the defense remains a concern. Before the season I had them ranked 32nd, and Sunday went about as expected. Detroit might be in a lot of shootouts this year.

What a win for Chicago. In the first half, it looked like this might be the worst NFL offense of the 21st century, but Fields made some special plays in the second half and the defense came to play.

I love the gutsy call by Brian Daboll to go for 2 at the end, not enough coaches do that. My biggest takeaway is that Saquon Barkley is back and better than ever.

I apologize for writing you off, Geno. Maybe this Seahawks team won’t just shrivel up and die this year, and maybe they can be a really competitive team. The pass rush was a pleasant surprise from them.

New York lost 24-9, but there were still a few bright spots. Quinnen Williams had one of the highest PFF grades of the week, and CBs Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed had the least yards allowed of any CB duo. However, the offense looked atrocious

Not a bad season debut for Trevor Lawrence, as I had his QB performance ranked 14th for the week. The other #1 pick, Travon Walker, also had a good game. There’s reason for optimism in Jacksonville.

I don’t know how many opportunities the Texans are going to get, but they let that one slip away. Blew a 20-3 lead and ended up with a tie in a game where they seemed firmly in control

A bit of a surprising performance from new QB Marcus Mariota, but some things never change. Atlanta blew a 16-point 4th quarter lead (again), and the Saints won on a game-winning field goal in Atlanta.
