Kansas City enters with a shaky start but appears to be hitting its stride, coming off a solid home win where QB Patrick Mahomes looked more comfortable, and the offense regained its explosive edge. The Chiefs’ defense, meanwhile, has shown signs of improvement, generating pressure with edge rushers and improving its red-zone stops—key in what has been a tight handful of games.

Washington, on the other hand, has shown flashes of life but remains inconsistent. The Commanders’ running game has been effective, and their home field gives them a boost, but their defense has allowed too many big-play drives and must improve in third-down conversions to stay competitive.
