Buccaneers at Saints

Introduction

Both of these teams will regret how week 3 turned out.

The Bucs didn't get started against the Eagles (much to our annoyance as a cover pick), and lost 25-11 to them in a game that never seemed like it was going to go any other way.

Meanwhile in New Orleans, disaster struck, and starting QB Derek Carr suffered a sprained AC joint in his shoulder, and is now 'week-to-week'. After Carr left the game with the Saints up 17-0 against the Packers, they slipped to a pathetic 18-17 defeat, and they'll be hoping against all hope, that Carr is available in week 4.

Who will win this NFC South duel of 2-1 teams? Let's take a look shall we?

Weighted stats ranking unit vs unit

Weighted rankings are a way of measuring a team's 'true' performance, taking into account the relative strength of each opponent. For example, a team throwing for 300 yards against a team that gives up 250 yards on average, would have a weighted performance of +50 yards. Conversely, if the opponent ordinarily allows 350 yards against other opponents, then the team would have a weighted performance of -50 yards.

This chart shows not only the weighted performance in key areas of the game, but also the weighted performance of the corresponding unit of their opponent, eg: Run Offense vs Run Defense.
